The weekly schedule
Every day, the doors of Playtime Casino Wasaga Beach open at 10 AM. From Sunday to Thursday, the casino on Joseph Drive shuts its doors at 2 AM. Fridays and Saturdays, it keeps going until 4 AM.
That makes Friday and Saturday the two late nights. Sunday is not one of them: it closes at 2 AM, like Monday through Thursday. If your plan depends on still being inside at 3 AM, pick a Friday or a Saturday. And with a 10 AM opening, a late morning stop works on any day.
Summer and the off-season
July and January feel different in a beach town. The casino's pages, though, publish one schedule, with no separate summer or winter hours. No holiday hours are published either. Before a visit on a long weekend or a statutory holiday, call 705-422-2520.
Here is a small piece of local history. The casino opened to the public at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, well outside the summer months. So its very first weeks were off-season weeks.
Taking the bus home
Route 1 of Wasaga Beach Transit stops at the casino, running on its usual timetable. The Town says both local routes run daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. That suits an afternoon visit or an early evening. A late night is a different story, since the casino stays open well past the last bus. Plan on a car, a designated driver or another ride home.
The exact stop at the casino is shown on the Town's transit map. The Town also lists connections to Simcoe County LINX buses to Collingwood and Barrie, and to the Clearview and Stayner route.
MATCH, the pub at the casino
MATCH Eatery & Public House is the casino's pub and sports bar, a contemporary themed spot for food and drinks. Its hours are not published on the casino's pages. Call 705-422-2520 if you want to know before you head over.
The casino's entertainment page mentions broadcasts of sports games and UFC fights. It also mentions live entertainment on Saturday nights. For who is on and when, check the events listings on the casino's own website.
